BuilderPro
Construction Project Management

Construction project management platform for 340-vehicle fleet managing PKR 50M–2B projects — reducing timeline overrun rate from 34% to 9%.

BuilderPro — Construction Project Management

The Challenge

BuilderPro is a construction project management platform built for a national construction group managing commercial and residential projects with budgets from PKR 50M to PKR 2B. The client's existing approach — Microsoft Project files, WhatsApp groups, and shared Google Drive folders — was producing a 34% project overrun rate on timeline and a 28% overrun rate on budget.

Our Approach

We began with a structured discovery phase to map existing workflows, identify technical constraints, and define the highest-value features for the initial release. Rather than trying to build everything at once, we established a phased delivery plan with working software at each milestone.

Role-based UI architecture serving genuinely different layouts per user type, not just hidden elements

Annotations stored separately from source documents — originals preserved, markup collaborative
Gantt chart visualization, budget burn tracking, and milestone dependency management for directors

What We Built

BuilderPro uses a role-based UI architecture where the application renders a meaningfully different interface based on the authenticated user's role — not just hiding/showing elements, but actually serving different page layouts and navigation structures. Site worker interfaces on mobile are stripped to the minimum required: pending tasks, document access, and a photo upload tool for site progress documentation.

Engineering drawings are stored in AWS S3, served via CloudFront, and rendered in-browser using PDF.js with an annotation layer that allows engineers to add markup notes that are stored separately from the source document — preserving the original while enabling collaborative review. Project director interfaces on desktop provide full dashboard views with Gantt chart visualization and budget burn tracking.

"BuilderPro gave us visibility into our projects that we simply did not have before. The reduction in overruns in the first year has delivered a return on investment that exceeded our most optimistic projections."

Managing Director, National Construction Group

The Results

BuilderPro launched on schedule and delivered its most important metric — the project overrun rate dropped from 34% to 9% in the first year. The 87% daily active use rate among site workers, achieved within 30 days of deployment, validated the decision to design separate mobile and desktop interfaces rather than a single responsive layout.
